Terms of Service

JotLater · Effective October 21, 2026 · Previous version September 18, 2026

The service

JotLater, operated by VAZM Ventures, LLC, operating as JotLater, lets you save personal notes by texting a dedicated number and reviewing them on the web. By creating an account or opting in to SMS, you agree to these terms.

SMS Terms

Program name: JotLater. JotLater sends one-time passcodes so customers can verify a mobile phone number on their account, and sends automated HELP and STOP replies. JotLater does not send marketing or promotional messages.

Customers opt in to SMS on the JotLater website (https://jotlater.com) by entering their mobile phone number into a web form and checking an unchecked consent checkbox, then submitting the form. Message frequency is 1 to 4 messages per opt-in. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. You can also reach us at [email protected].

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

JotLater does not share mobile numbers or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.

Your content

You own the notes you send. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the service.

Accounts

You must use a phone number you own to opt in. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Plans

JotLater has a free plan and a paid plan, Pro. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of texted notes, photos read by AI, emailed notes, voice notes, Ask questions, AI organizing and linked phone numbers, shown on the Plan page in the app. Allowances reset on the first day of each month (UTC). Notes you type in the app are not limited.

If a texted note arrives after the month’s allowance is used, it is still saved exactly as you sent it and shown in your account; it is not organized into people, projects and tasks until you upgrade. We never delete or hide a note because a limit was reached. Pro’s allowances are fair-use limits set well above ordinary personal use. We may change plan allowances; a change that reduces what a paid plan includes takes effect at your next renewal.

Billing and automatic renewal

Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly, in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and your payment method is charged for the next period, until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.

Prices do not include sales tax. Where tax applies, it is calculated from your billing address and added at checkout and on each renewal.

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it, and Pro stays on while it does. If the payment cannot be collected, your account moves to the free plan. Your notes are not affected.

We may change the price of Pro. We will email you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription, and it takes effect at your next renewal after that. You can cancel before then.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from Plan → Manage billing in the app, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays on until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to the free plan. Your notes stay in your account either way.

Payments are non-refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused allowances, except where the law requires otherwise. If you were charged in error, contact us and we will put it right.

Deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately, without a refund for the rest of the period. Export your notes first if you want a copy.

Acceptable use

Do not use JotLater to break the law, to send messages to numbers you do not own, to interfere with the service, or to get around plan limits. We may suspend accounts that do.

Disclaimer

The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant uninterrupted SMS delivery.

AI features, such as organizing notes into people, projects and tasks and answering questions about them, can be wrong. Your original notes are always kept as you sent them; check anything important against them.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, JotLater is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with its effective date, and email you about material changes before they apply. Continuing to use JotLater after that means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
