We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
JotLater does not share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in records, or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we are
JotLater is a personal notes service operated by VAZM Ventures, LLC, operating as JotLater (“JotLater”, “we”, “us”). Website: https://jotlater.com. Support: [email protected]
Information we collect
Email address for your account. Mobile phone number if you opt in to SMS. Notes you send us. Technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) needed to operate the service.
Billing information
If you subscribe to Pro, payment is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and billing address (used to calculate sales tax) under its own privacy policy; we never receive or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID, your subscription status, plan, billing period and renewal date, and invoices stay available to you in Stripe’s billing portal.
Usage
We count how many texted notes, Ask questions and AI organizes you use each month, to apply your plan’s allowances. These counts are kept with your account.
How we use SMS
JotLater customers opt in to SMS on the JotLater website (https://jotlater.com) by entering their mobile phone number into a web form and checking an unchecked consent checkbox, then submitting the form. JotLater then sends a one-time passcode by SMS so the customer can verify that phone number. JotLater also sends automated HELP and STOP replies. JotLater does not send marketing or promotional messages. Message frequency is 1 to 4 messages per opt-in. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. JotLater does not share mobile numbers or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may use processors solely to deliver the service (SMS delivery, hosting, authentication). They may not use your mobile number or SMS consent for their own marketing or promotions.
Service providers
We use these providers only to run JotLater, and share with each only what its job needs:
- Supabase — database and sign-in
- Railway — hosting
- Twilio — receiving texts and calls, recording voice notes you leave, and sending verification codes
- Anthropic and OpenAI — processing the text of your notes, photos you text in and voice notes you leave (which OpenAI transcribes), to organize them, answer your questions and make them searchable
- Resend — sending email, such as the daily digest and account notices, and receiving notes you email in
- Stripe — payments, subscriptions and sales tax
None of them may use your information for their own marketing. Our support tools show account details such as plan, usage and linked numbers, not the contents of your notes. We look at note contents only if you ask us to for support, or if the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information
JotLater does not sell your personal data. We do not use SMS for advertising.
Retention and rights
Account and note data are kept until you delete them or as required by law. You may request access, correction, or deletion. To stop SMS, reply STOP.
You can export everything and delete your account at any time from the app. Deleting your account removes your notes, linked numbers, usage counts and billing records from JotLater and cancels any subscription. Stripe keeps payment and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
